The hospitality industry, which includes hotels and
catering, offers a lively and fun environment with a great variety
of career opportunities. It is people-focused requiring good customer
service skills together with strong managerial and organisational
ability at supervisor level and beyond.
The BTEC (level 3) in Hospitality Management is a vocational qualification
designed to prepare you with the vital combination of these practical
skills alongside a recognised qualification and end of work placement
certificate, making you more attractive to employers.
You will start with one month of intensive English language training
followed by an eleven month paid work placement - monitored regularly
to ensure that you benefit fully. All placements are outside of
London and include free accommodation and food. During this time
you will complete the course modules by distance learning with the
support of your own personal tutor.
