You will be studying the following areas:
Understanding the Airport Industry and the Role of the Airport
Passenger Service Agent
You will explore the role of the Airport Passenger Service Agent
within the airport. Also, you will learn about the different authorities
and companies present in an airport. Interview techniques and application
forms will be investigated to help you get that job.
Airport Knowledge
In this module, you will learn about the specific knowledge required
by the Airport Passenger Service Agent to do the job well. Such
knowledge would include airport and airline codes, the phonetic
alphabet, codes for different special services and the aircraft
configuration plan.
Processing of Aircraft Passengers
Another important role is covered in this module. Customer Care
is the central role of the Airport Passenger Service Agent. The
agent must know how to deal with problems and complaints effectively
and efficiently; how to cater for special needs passengers and how
and when to accept dangerous goods and pet animals onto the aircraft.
Boarding procedure
You will explore the necessary functions at the gate when boarding
passengers to the aircraft. Also, you will learn who you need to
liaise with to start boarding and to close the flight and boarding
process.
